Career Opportunity 1: Tax Preparer Entry Level
Your role as a Tax Preparer will be essential to properly assist many of our clients with tax preparation services. You will be tasked with preparing many common tax returns. Though your performance will be evaluated by a direct supervisor, much of your time will be spent independently processing tax forms. Critical aspects of this position include exacting attention to detail, sound efficiency skills, strong discretionary judgment and error prevention. Efficiency performance is evaluated not only on your ability to avoid administrative mistakes, but also by completed case volume. We will provide you the tools to successfully navigate the position and will rely on you to utilize these tools to optimize your performance.
Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:
1. Excellent communication skills
2. The ability to excel with minimal supervision
3. Sound problem-solving skills
4. Administrative and/or tax experience is a plus, but not required
Daily Responsibilities:
Basic tax form preparation
Working with Tax Analysts to ensure administrative compliance
Communicating by phone and electronically
Securely processing confidential client paperwork
Hours of Operation:
10 am – 6 pm EST (Pre Season)
10 am – 9pm EST (Peak Season)
Required education:
High school or equivalent
Nexus United Tax School
Required Certification:
PTIN is required if position is acquired via Nexus United Inc.
